People burnt the holy book Quran in the church!!! And there has been a huge amount of reaction to this incident!!! Both look equally idiotic. First are the people who are trying to show their power by burning a symbol which they think is important for all the Muslims. And the latter, the people who are condemning, don’t even want to neglect that issue by thinking that they were a group of idiots who did it.
It has always been a problem with the established young religions. They try to dominate and in that run they try to hurt the feelings of the other religions. If the other religion is old and mature, then such incidents are neglected. But, if the other religion is also young, then comes problem. The people get agitated as they are not so secure about the religion and hence react, or probably retort. So, the problem starts.
If now, the Islamic leaders stop reacting to the incident, then it is a big moral defeat for the people who burnt Quran. The amount of pain they would have taken to hurt the Islamic word would go waste as soon as people start neglecting such incidents.
But, in the meanwhile, the Christian community should debar such activities. They should condemn it as it is against its own religion. The leaders should make the followers understand that, in todays world, any religion cannot grow by trying to let down other religion as religion has become secondary to many people now.
I see many Hindu strong opinions now a days in India. Many say Hinduism should adapt the terrorism concept. I pity that the thought process they are into is only letting down the Hindu ideology. We should always remember that adapting a dangerous culture is as bad as getting converted to a bad ideology. If ideology is from other religions, then what is the meaning of people calling it Hinduism?
Lets stop thinking about who burnt what where, unless it impacts the livelihood and lives. These Bhagavadgeeta, Quran, Bibal, Grantha Sahib are just books. You can print them thousand times. Also, if what they tell is so strong, then even if people burn them will be able to change the respect for them?
